Field Trips

We would love to have you bring your class or homeschool group out for a field trip at Autumn Acres! If you've been to our place for a field trip before, you know what to expect. We have some great activities again this year. We still have the giant slide, corn box, slingshot, corn cannon and pirate ship. We have expanded our area so we've got more room for the barrel train and the hay ride. Our corn maze is ready to go and we are working on some new activities that will be tons of fun.

We will again be teaching a short lesson on corn and its many uses. After the lesson, we will divide into smaller groups so that everyone will have a chance to enjoy all the activities. If it works into your schedule to have lunch in our picnic area, we'd love to have you.

We are most appropriate for pre-school through fourth grade. We will vary our lesson, depending on the needs of each group. We also welcome children with disabilities and will do all we can to accommodate their needs. We recommend spending 1 1/2 to 2 1/1 hours with us to really be able to relax and enjoy a fall day.

The cost will be $3.50 per child, chaperones and teachers may come for free. Parents are also invited to come and enjoy the learning experience. Be sure to bring your cameras, as we have numerous photo opptorunitities! As you leave, each child will receive a mini pumpkin to take home.

Fieldtrips will be available October 1-31, Tuesday-Friday, 9:00-3:00. We have alsready started taking reservations, so contact us at 641-660-5751 or email at mikeandsyl@iowatelecom.net as soon as possible to reserve your day.
